PropreteThe people who worked there were helpful. Most spoke enough English and had enough patience to suffer my bad French. The woman who made up our room each day was very nice and offered good advice about safety. We had a room near a window that we left open. She cautioned us that someone from the street could steal items if we placed them too close to the window. The room was tiny and not well insulated, despite what the hotel's description claims. The four of us were crammed into a room no larger than our bathroom back home. We could hear everything in the room next to us. Lucky for us, that room was empty half of our four-day stay. Cleanliness is in the eye of the beholder. The maid did her best, but the room could have used a cleansing makeover. Overall, we had a OK experience. We didn't too worked up, because we didn't want to come off as "Ugly Americans" and we were in Paris to have fun. And we did. Merci.
