One of the most important arrondissements following the reunification of 2 communes in 1860 (former towns not included in Paris), the 15th district is very diversified.

Do not miss:

-Parc des Expositions in Porte de Versailles: the largest exhibition centre in France. More than 200 congresses and exhibitions take place every year

-The Ruche: an artist's residence (just like the Bateau Lavoir in Montmartre where artists such as Modigliani, Soutine, Léger, Ludovic Bernard used to live together). Nowadays, studios and exhibition spaces are used by contemporary artists.

-Georges Brassens park is on former slaughterhouses whose giant doors decorated with a horse are still there.
